The Tuchola Forest used to be frequently visited by Sat Okh (Stanisław Supłatowicz), a North-American Indian, born and brought up in the forests of Canada, being the son of a Polish woman who had escaped from Siberia, and a leader of the tribe of Canadian Indians.
